Re: SuperLiga
Great win by Houston Dynamo tonight 4-0 over Atlante. It was a great game im glad I watched it!
It was quite a night at Robertson Stadium, as the Dynamo offense finally caught up to the scorching temperatures by pounding four goals past 2007 Mexican Apertura champion Atlante to open SuperLiga in style. The only blemish on the evening was the red card which will keep Dwayne De Rosario out of Tuesday’s match against Chivas.
De Rosario did open the scoring before being ejected, however, heading in a 20th-minute free kick from Brad Davis. Within 90 seconds, the Dynamo were ahead 2-0 as De Rosario chipped a pass to Geoff Cameron in the penalty area on the right, and his cross was deflected in by Holden from close range. Holden made it 3-0 in the 28th minute with an adept flick of a Wade Barrett entry pass.
With the teams playing 10-on-10 in the second half, Brian Mullan sealed the deal with his first goal in more than a year, again from a Geoff Cameron assist. Corey Ashe, Franco Caraccio and Mike Chabala made second-half appearances as the Dynamo cruised to victory. Breathe a sigh of relief and get ready for a rowdy atmosphere Tuesday night!
