Atletico laugh off City link with Aguero
Atletico Madrid coach Javier Aguirre has dismissed speculation linking star striker Sergio Aguero with Manchester City.

Aguero: One of the most coveted players in world football.
Aguero, labelled by an admiring Diego Maradona as 'my son-in-law' has developed into the one of the game's most highly-rated strikers over the last couple of years at Atletico.
The 20-year-old's contract buy-out clause is £40million and Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Chelsea are among the sides who have been linked to him. Newly-loaded Manchester City are believed to have had scouts at Atletico's Primera Liga match against Getafe on Wednesday to check out the striker.
However, Aguirre is confident the former Independiente striker will not be quitting the Vicente Calderon club any time soon, saying after his side's 2-1 win over Getafe: "On the subject of him possibly leaving, he has a contract here, he is happy here and I'm sure that is going to want to stay.
"Sergio, I truly believe, is going to do very good things here."
Aguero joined Atletico from Independiente in the summer of 2006 for a fee reportedly in the region of £16million, and has four years left on his current contract.

man city need to understand-robinho was a fluke-he wanted chelsea.
at the end of the day no matter how many clubs have billions of pounds, there's still only a certain amount of top class players. and the teams with history and location will get them. man utd have history as do lpool. arsenal and chelsea have location-everyone wants to play for a london club. so these 4 will remain the top 4 aslong as they have the money.
robinho wont be at mancity next season-not unless they have a strangely successful season. i think mancitys success will be short lived as more and more clubs get billionnaires
with more and more clubs gettin billionnairres all that happens is some clubs will be good and have the best players, and some will be not as good and have the other players.
the only thing guaranteed is that footballers are going to be even further overpaid and transfers fee's are going to be even more ridiculous

I totally agree, the only thing man city has done is inflate the market even more. Chelsea started it all and now Man City have made it even worse

Re: Atletico laugh off City link with Aguero
for sure.
football will enter a crisis zone soon. its only a matter of time (with all the finincial institutions crashing).. its only a matter of time before football becomes a heavy victim of criticism from people complaining that far too much money is in the game. since the introduction of the 'premiership' the clubs have become financially fashionable and classic/hunger filled players have been replaced with pritty boys who avoid tackles and getting stuck in because they are worth too much financially to get injured.
noone really knows just how much money is in football with agents etc. taking large and undeserved chunks of money
without deviating from the topic too much-i think football is in jeapordy off suffering a barrage of complaints. i think the finances in football have to be reworked-no idea how but somehow.

Re: Atletico laugh off City link with Aguero
thts true. if city are one thing-its optimistic, and maybe they'l suprise, but i stil think the top 4 are the top 4. the rest are the rest lol
Re: Atletico laugh off City link with Aguero
I think city will get ronaldo since he is a free agent and maybe a few average stars. I dont see big clubs parting with their prize assets mid-season
